Help Us Expand Our Case Management Team
Our community is reaching out for help more than ever before, and right now, we don't have enough case managers to meet the need.
Every day, people come to us facing challenges that can't always wait. They may be experiencing a crisis, struggling to navigate resources, facing financial hardship, or simply trying to figure out where to turn next. Our case managers are there to listen, help identify solutions, connect people with resources, and walk alongside them through difficult circumstances.
But today, the need is greater than our current capacity.
Our case managers are now booked approximately three weeks out. That means someone who reaches out today may have to wait three to four weeks before they can meet with a case manager and begin getting the help they need.
For someone in crisis, that's a long time to wait.
Our Community's Needs Have Grown. Our Staffing Hasn't.
Just a few years ago, we had three part-time case managers serving our community. Two years ago, because of funding constraints, one of those positions became vacant and we weren't able to replace it.
Since then, our two remaining case managers have continued doing everything they can to serve our community. They have taken on larger caseloads, worked to accommodate urgent situations, and continued showing up for people who need support.
But the demand has continued to grow.
Our staff are now carrying significantly more clients while also managing the difficult reality of having to tell people in crisis that they may need to wait weeks for an appointment. That situation is stressful for the people seeking help and incredibly difficult for the staff who want nothing more than to be able to respond.
A Funding Gap We Can No Longer Ignore
Several years ago, we also experienced the loss of City of Casper 1-cent funding, which left a significant hole in our budget.
We have worked hard to adjust, stretch existing resources, and continue providing services despite that loss. But as the number of people seeking assistance has grown, it has become increasingly difficult to absorb that funding gap while maintaining the level of service our community needs.
We are now asking our community to help us fill that gap.
Our Goal: $20,000
We are raising $20,000 to support the hiring of an additional part-time case manager.
This isn't simply about adding another position. It's about creating capacity to help people sooner.
Your donation will help us:
- Reduce the wait time for people seeking case management services.
- Respond more effectively to emergent needs rather than asking people in crisis to wait weeks.
- Increase the number of individuals and families we can serve.
- Reduce the overwhelming caseloads currently carried by our two case managers.
- Support the well-being of our staff and reduce the risk of burnout.
- Strengthen our ability to respond as our community continues to grow.
Your Gift Can Make an Immediate Difference
Imagine reaching out for help when you're already overwhelmed and being told you have to wait three or four weeks before someone can sit down with you.
Now imagine that same call being met with, "Let's see how we can help."
That's what we're working toward.
A gift of any amount helps us move closer to hiring another case manager and expanding our ability to serve our community. Whether you give $25, $100, $500, or make a larger investment in this effort, your contribution helps create another opportunity for someone to get the support they need when they need it.
We cannot do this without the help of our donors and community partners.
Please consider making a gift today to help us raise $20,000 for an additional part-time case manager.
Together, we can shorten the wait, support our hardworking staff, and make sure that people facing difficult circumstances don't have to face them alone.
Help us be there when our community needs us most.
